Guide
Why don't I show up on Google when people search for my trade?
Google shows the three businesses it trusts most for that search, and trust comes from three things: how close you are, how complete and active your profile is, and how many recent reviews you have. Most contractors lose on the last two. Their profile goes months without an update, and they ask for reviews when they remember. We fix both. We post to your profile every week, keep it accurate, and ask every customer for a review after the job.
What Google weighs
- Distance. Google favors businesses close to the person searching. You can't move your shop, but you can list every town you serve, so Google knows your full area.
- Your profile. Google rewards profiles that are complete and active: the right categories, hours, photos, services, and new posts. A profile nobody has touched in a year looks closed, even when you're busy.
- Reviews. The number, how recent they are, and whether you reply all count. A steady stream of new reviews counts for more than a big pile of old ones.
Why most contractors fall behind
The businesses beating you on Google usually aren't better at the work. They're more consistent online: a review request after every job, a reply to every review, a post every week. That's hard to keep up while you're running jobs, so we do it for you.
The fastest way to find out what's keeping you off the first page is a free audit of your Google profile, reviews and website. You'll see where you stand against the competition, and you can decide from there.
